About Swim Camp

Residential and day options / Ages 12 to 18
Session 1: High-Performance Technique Swim Camp is the perfect opportunity for swimmers to take their skills and performance to the next level. What makes STG’s High Performance camp unique is the size of the camp and the expertise of the coaches who will work with your swimmer EVERY session. Our head coach, and two-time Olympian Leah Stancil, has years of experience coaching the most elite athletes in the world; she is committed to bringing her knowledge and enthusiasm to each swimmer in the pool every day. She will lead classroom and pool sessions, ensuring your swimmer learns the most current technical skills and racing strategies and feels valued by all our coaches. The mission is to balance skills – stroke technique, starts & turns – with building better training and racing skills.

We can ensure that each swimmer feels seen and heard because we are limiting our enrollment to 75 swimmers and have a staff of assistant coaches who haven’t just swum but have coached extensively with elite swimmers. These coaches can provide personalized instruction and feedback tailored to your swimmer’s specific needs, helping them to fine-tune their technique and training regimen to maximize their performance and potential. The camp includes a variety of challenging workouts and training sessions specifically designed to help swimmers build strength, endurance, and speed while improving their mental toughness and focus.

What is camp without fun? Besides building new friendships with other swimmers from all over the country and world, in and outside of the pool, we conclude camp with a swim meet. The campers will be divided into teams; we’ll turn on the scoreboard and the music and let swimmers practice their new skills in a competitive but fun environment.

If you have a swimmer looking to take their performance and technique to the next level, then the SwimTec High-Performance Technique Swim Camp is the perfect opportunity. With a low athlete-to-coach ratio, top-notch coaching, and a challenging and engaging training program, this camp will help your swimmer reach new heights in their swimming career.

Session 2: Weekend Starts Camp The start can determine the race — and at this camp, we make every millisecond count. Our High-Performance Starts Camp combines advanced technical instruction with explosive power development, reaction-time training, and dynamic underwater progression. Athletes will learn elite start variations, breakthrough launch mechanics, and how to carry speed into stroke execution with precision. Classroom sessions provide tactical insights and race-winning strategies used by top competitors. Personalized feedback and video review ensure each swimmer leaves with measurable improvements and the tools to dominate the race from the very first movement.

Registration begins December 12th, 2025
$50 Registration Fee Waived until February 15th, 2026 (Using Code: EarlyBird) & 20% discount on Session 2 when registered for both sessions.

Swim Camp Information:

Space is limited to 75 athletes per session, with a low coach-athlete ratio of approximately 14:1 athletes to elite coaches. Athletes ages 12-18 years old.

Camp FAQs

Yes, the registration form will automatically take 20% off the Weekend Starts Camp tuition.

For the 4th year of our High-Performance Technique Swim Camp, athletes, coaches, and counselors will stay at the Holiday Inn, University Center, just across the street from the University of Florida. Located a few minutes away from the pool and the University of Florida Dining Hall. The Holiday Inn at University Center provides Camp with a ~3000 square foot conference center (game room) with multi-media options. We use this conference center for camp breakfast, afternoon activities, coaches’ talks, meetings, and games. The room also has a ping pong table, board games, and TVs on the walls that athletes can use to share their game consoles with other athletes or watch movies together. Campers are instructed to spend their free time in the game room rather than their sleeping rooms. Breakfast is served in the game room, allowing us to get to the pool quickly in the morning.

Our camp counselors (predominantly UF Student Athletes) have all been background checked and have taken the US Center for Safe Sport Training. Camp adheres to Safe Sport Policies for all adult and youth athlete contact. We also hold training sessions for our camp staff to ensure camp policies are enforced. (https://uscenterforsafesport.org/)

Campers are monitored continuously in the 2nd-floor conference center.
Sub-section of Camp policies:
*No males in female rooms and vice versa.
*No males on the female floor and vice versa.

Camp staff enforces all camp policies. Male counselors supervise the male athlete floor, and female counselors supervise the female floor. Counselor doors are left open a large majority of the time to observe floor traffic. At 9:30 p.m., counselors check every room for the correct occupants and remind athletes who their on-duty counselor is and what room they are in, if any issues arise during the lights-out period.

Lunch is provided daily for everyone (including day campers). Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included for residential campers.

Not necessarily. If you do not have the flight reservation at the time of registration, you can email it to us whenever you book the flight.

Yes. When you complete your registration, you can let us know whom you want to room with. We try to accommodate everyone with their roommate requests.

Athletes take breaks every 45 minutes to hydrate and apply sunscreen. It is mandatory due to the hot sunny weather in Florida. Athletes must bring sunscreen to camp, and camp staff enforces its use.
