Liam was born in South Florida and could swim before he could walk. He joined a team when he was 5, and swimming quickly became part of his daily life year-round. When he was 12, his family relocated to western North Carolina. During the 5 years he lived in Asheville, his swimming became stronger and Liam realized he wanted to continue swimming competitively in college. His family moved to Gainesville in the summer of 2023, and after taking a gap year, Liam will be heading to West Virginia University, where he will be swimming for the next 4 years.
Liam has had many opportunities to teach swimming to both younger swimmers on his team and to teammates who wanted to perfect their stroke. His specialty is breast and IM. He has competed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, as well as the 200 and 400IM events at Junior Nationals and the Tyr Pro Series. In April 2024, his times qualified him for a second swim in the C finals at the Tyr Pro Series in Fort Lauderdale. Liam continues to train but is available any day between 9 am and 3 pm or after 7:30, as well as any time on Saturdays, when he is not competing.
